Melinda Peters Elliott owner of Fine Designs & Interiors,
Ltd. has been recognized many times for her creativity in designing window treatments as well as design for the industry
such as drapery hardware.
A graduate from Berry College, Rome Georgia, Melinda has a Bachelor of Science
degree in Consumer and Family Sciences with a concentration in Interior Design. Melinda is a WFCP-Expert
(Window Fashions Certified Professional with a Expert Level) . She has been in business since 1991 in London, Ohio.
Melinda and her staff service Design Clients all over Ohio.
Melinda has won Window Fashions Magazine's
Window Fashions Competition seven times and is among only a few in the world to have achieved this many accolades
from the magazine. She is considered one of the top designers in the world.
In 2004, she entered the
Kirsch Designer of the Year Competition to design drapery hardware for their catalog and to sell worldwide. She won
the competition with the "Teacup" Design and also placed Third with another design. The hardware is
currently sold in the Kirsch Drapery Hardware Catalog.
Melinda is a guest speaker for the Central
Ohio Home & Garden Show and the Best of Fall Home Show in Columbus, Ohio. She has been as a guest on Channel
10 WBNS TV, Ohio News Network (ONN), Channel 6 WSYX, and Channel 4 WNBC. She continues to guest speak
at many clubs and organizations all over Central Ohio.
In 2009 Melinda was awarded the ACE Award from NARI the excellence in serving her clients. Melinda Peters Elliott is a member of the Madison County Chamber of Commerce, the Women's Council of Realtors, NARI-Central
Ohio, the Buckeye Business Network, the WCAA-Window Coverings Association of America, the Keystone Society of the Madison
County Hospital and a Business Partner of the Madison County Hospital. She is also a member of the First United Methodist
Church in London and currently serves on the Nominations Committee. She has three boys, Austin, Hayden, and
Gavin, and is married to her best friend and spouse, Mark.
